Amy-Eloise Neale, who won three cross-country state championships in four years for Glacier Peak High School of Snohomish, will run next year for the University of Washington.
Neale won the Class 3A state title Saturday in Pasco. She won state titles as a freshman and sophomore before finishing second behind Katie Knight of Spokane's North Central as a junior.
Knight also committed to the Huskies, according to The (Everett) Herald.
Neale is one of the nation's top distance runners. She was seventh among 14 finishers in the Jim Ryun Dream Mile in New York in June.
Last spring, she shattered a 29-year-old meet mark while winning the 3A girls 800 meters in the track and field state championships. She already has five career state track titles, with her senior season still ahead.
Washington's women's cross-country team won the national championship in 2008, placed third in 2009 and was runner-up in 2011.
