Isabel Farrell, the Class 2A State Player of the Year from Bellevue's Interlake High School, was among eight women's soccer players who signed letters of intent with the University of Washington on Wednesday.

Farrell, a midfielder and the only in-state player signed by the Huskies, has played on several US Youth national teams. She led Interlake to the state championship in November.

Another high-school state player of the year, Cassidy Nangle of Class 3A Liberty, signed last October with Oklahoma, where she is already enrolled.

Seattle Pacific's seven-player class included five in-state players — forward Laura Moore of Kentwood, midfielder Ashley Shaw of Seattle Lutheran and defenders Emma Holm of Lake Washington (Kirkland), Shayla Page of Eastlake (Sammamish) and Taylor Hauck of King's (Shoreline).

Notes

• Three members of Skyline's Class 4A state-title team signed letters of intent. All-state goalkeeper Tina Vargas signed with Denver, Nicole Candioglos with UNLV and Dominique Randle with USC.

• Among all-state girls players signing this week are defenders Becca Lentz of Marysville-Pilchuck (Gonzaga) and Laura Rayfield of Kentlake (Oregon State) and Jackson forward Cara Wegner (Oregon).

• Among men's soccer players signing letters of intent was Eastlake's Michael Gallagher, with Washington.
