Class 4A

Deion Wright, Davis football: Wright, a senior, completed 18 of 28 passes for 315 yards and five touchdowns (to five receivers) in a 35-18 win over Moses Lake.

Mallery Walk, Puyallup swimming: In three meets, the senior won the 200-yard individual medley (2:23.66), 200 freestyle (2:04.55), 500 free (5:40.08) and 100 butterfly (1:05.17) and swam on two winning relays.

Class 3A

E.J. Harris, Bonney Lake football: Harris, a junior, carried 24 times for 146 yards and four touchdowns and had four receptions for 42 yards in a 33-28 win over Timberline.

Shelby Sturman, Hazen volleyball: Sturman, a sophomore, totaled 23 kills, eight digs, seven aces and three blocks in victories over Tyee and Renton.

Class 2A

Ben Bissell, Cheney football: The Blackhawks' senior rushed nine times for 202 yards and three TDs and passed for 162 yards and two scores in a 44-38 win over Cascade (Leavenworth).

Kaylie Rozell, Sumner soccer: Rozell, a junior, tallied four goals in a 6-0 win over Eatonville and had an assist in a 1-0 victory over White River.

Class 1A

Jimmie Day, Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) football: Day, a senior, rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-7 win over Medical Lake. He also returned an interception 37 yards and a fumble 48 yards for touchdowns, and had eight tackles and three assists.

Adrianna Gildner, Overlake soccer: Gildner, a junior, had five goals and two assists in wins over Forest Ridge and Bellevue Christian.

Class 2B

Mark Phillips, Bear Creek soccer: The Grizzlies' senior scored six of his team's seven goals in a 3-3 tie against Tacoma Baptist and a 4-2 win over Crosspoint Academy.

Sierra Speiker, Oroville cross country: Speiker, a sophomore, set a course record while winning at the Moses Lake Invitational.

Class 1B

Tommy Kramer, Lopez football: Kramer, a senior, had 264 yards and four touchdowns on 13 carries, caught three passes for 91 yards and two scores and made 15 tackles and two fumble recoveries in a 56-20 win over Muckleshoot Tribal.

Megan Troupe, Three Rivers Christian volleyball: Troupe, a freshman, had 35 serve attempts with two aces, 32 attacks with 11 kills, 45 serve receptions, 14 digs and one block in a tournament.

State Athletes of the Week are selected by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association and The Seattle Times from nominations by athletic directors.
