The Seattle Public Library’s Sound Cycling series kicks off Tuesday and continues at local libraries through May with events teaching how to get started biking in Seattle, such as bike-route suggestions, commuting tips and lessons on basic bicycle maintenance. The series is free and open to all, with no registration required; record your miles biked to work or school in May to enter a prize drawing. The Kickoff Celebration with local cyclists and information is 2:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Northeast Branch Library, 6801 35th Ave. N.E., Seattle (206-684-7539); information on all Sound Cycling events (206-386-4636 or www.spl.org).
