One healthful thing we love
Cascade Bicycle Club’s Leisurely Chill on the Hills 23-mile ride takes place Feb. 17 in Redmond, and the Chilly Hilly bicycle season opening ride is Feb. 24 on Bainbridge Island.
Join the Cascade Bicycle Club on the Leisurely Chill on the Hills 23-mile, 10-12 mph pace, hilly ride with a lunch stop. Ride begins at noon Sunday from Farrel-McWhirter Park, 19545 Redmond Road, Redmond. It’s a warm-up for Chilly Hilly on Feb. 24, a 40-year tradition of kicking off the cycling season on a 33-mile, hilly ride (with a 23-mile shortcut option) around Bainbridge Island that draws thousands of riders. The Leisurely Chill ride, like all Cascade Bicycle Club daily rides, is free; Chilly Hilly is $23-$28, $5 for ages 12 and younger, to benefit Cascade education programs and Bainbridge charities; register in advance or day of the event (206-522-3222 or www.cascade.org).
