The Big Day of Play Healthy Parks, Healthy You Saturday will include entertainment, boating, basketball and even activities for dogs at Magnuson Park.
Get active and have fun at the Big Day of Play Healthy Parks, Healthy You Saturday at Magnuson Park. The event features demonstrations and information on how to use Seattle Parks trails, playgrounds, gyms, pools, fitness classes, athletic fields and beaches for fun and exercise. Main-stage entertainment celebrates cultural diversity, and food is available from several vendors. There's paddling and boating activities, an Adult Flag Football tournament and a 3-on-3 youth/teen basketball tournament. Even dogs can get into the fun with agility demonstrations and dog-related vendors; 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Magnuson Park, 7400 Sand Point Way N.E., Seattle; free (www.seattle.gov/parks/healthyparks/big_day.htm).
