One healthful thing we love

Kayak races at Elliott Bay Marina on Saturday, Aug. 11, include all-age relays, plus music and a beer garden, with proceeds going to support Parkinson's disease research.

Bring your own kayak or use a free loaner kayak at Elliott Bay Marina Paddle Day on Saturday. Adults and kids of all ages are welcome for friendly competition including all-age relays and events by age group. Hot dogs and beverages are included with registration, with all proceeds to benefit Michael J. Fox Foundation and Kona Brewing Co. in support of Parkinson's disease research and awareness. Spectators are welcome and the event includes music, food vendors and a beer garden, noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Elliott Bay Marina, 2601 W.
