Sunny Greinacher scored 17 points to help visiting Gonzaga to a 67-61 West Coast Conference women’s basketball victory over Santa Clara on Sunday afternoon.

Greinacher scored 13 of her points in the second half. Lindsay Sherbert scored 11 of her 15 points in the first half. Haiden Palmer scored 10 for the Zags (16-3, 6-1 WCC), ranked No. 23 in the coaches poll.

Ruta Zurauskyte scored 21 points for the Broncos (7-11, 3-4) and Nici Gilday had 16.

“We had a great defensive effort tonight,” said Santa Clara coach Jennifer Mountain, a former Zag and former Gonzaga assistant. “We had too many turnovers and missed some easy buckets that we should have had.”
