PORTLAND – Gonzaga limited Portland to 17.4 percent shooting and routed the Pilots 56-24 in a West Coast Conference women’s basketball game Friday night.

The Zags set a program record for fewest points allowed; the previous mark was set Nov. 30 when they beat Colgate 81-31.

Haiden Palmer scored 13 points and Sunny Greinacher added 10 for Gonzaga (12-3 overall, 2-1 WCC).

Portland (8-6, 1-2) was 8 of 46 from the field, missing all 12 of its three-point attempts. The Pilots were outscored 30-9 in the second half before a crowd of 670.

The Zags shot 37.5 percent (24 of 64) and had a 50-33 rebounding advantage. Gonzaga’s Stephanie Golden had seven rebounds.
