Cheng-Tsung Pan, Chris Williams, Alex Williams advance in U.S. Publinx
Washington's Cheng-Tsung Pan tied for third in stroke play at 4-under 138 to reach match play in the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.
MIDWAY, Utah — Washington golfers Cheng-Tsung Pan and Chris Williams survived the 36-hole cut and advanced to match play at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.
Pan, who shared the first-round lead, tied for third in stroke play at 4-under 67-71 — 138. Williams tied for eighth at 2-under 71-69 — 140. Seattle's Alex Williams (72-73 — 145) advanced, but Sean Packer (80-74 — 154) of Seattle missed the cut.

• Eastern Washington will play at Toledo on Sept. 14, 2013, the schools announced. The game gives EWU a 12-game regular season for the first time.
