Recipe: Almond-Grape Poppers
This one-bite appetizer is perfect to share with friends over a glass of wine or bubbly, or a great excuse to get the kids into the kitchen as small hands are helpful in the rolling of the poppers.

Makes 24 appetizers
1 cup sliced almonds
2 teaspoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
About 24 stemmed, seedless red or green grapes
4 ounces (about 3/4 cup) soft goat cheese (chèvre)
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
2. In a small bowl, drizzle the almonds with the oil, sprinkle with the salt and paprika, and toss to coat evenly. Spread the almonds on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 4 to 6 minutes or until lightly toasted. Let cool. Put the toasted almonds in a clean bowl.
3. With clean hands, take a heaping teaspoon of chèvre in the palm of your hand, place a grape on the cheese and start rolling with your hands to coat the grape in cheese. If there are any thin spots, add a bit more cheese. Drop the grape into the almonds and press the almonds into the cheese to coat well. Set aside. Repeat with the remaining grapes until all the cheese is used. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve
