6 yams, quartered
4 ounces soft butter
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cook the yams with the skins on until tender. Peel the yams and place in a 2-quart casserole. Mash with a fork and mix in the butter and maple syrup. Sprinkle with nuts and bake for 25 minutes.
