Movie bargains / outdoor screenings

Here are movie bargains and outdoor screenings during the week of Aug. 15.

Where to see discounted movies:

“Obvious Child” and “The Immigrant”

They’re new at the Crest Cinema. Also there: “Edge of Tomorrow,” “Belle” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel” ($3-$4.50).

“Deliver Us from Evil” and “Words and Pictures”

They’re new at the Admiral Theater in West Seattle. Also there: “Belle” and “Edge of Tomorrow” ($6).

“The Kill Team”

It’s new at the Varsity Theatre. Also there: “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “Get On Up.” All seats on Tuesday are $7.

“Guardians of the Galaxy”

It continues at the Big Picture Seattle. The 1 and 3:30 p.m. shows Saturday-Sunday are $10.

“The Goonies” and “Road House”

They’re new at the Central Cinema in Seattle. All shows $6-$8.

“The Railway Man”

It plays at the Tin Theater in Burien this week. All shows $8.

“Think Like a Man Too”

It’s new at the Gateway in Federal Way.Also there: “Edge of Tomorrow 3D,” “A Million Ways to Die in the West,” “Neighbors,” “Godzilla 3D,” “Blended,” “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Rio 2 3D” and “Divergent” ($2, all seats on Tuesdays $1).

“Clueless”

It plays at the “Three Dollar Bill Outdoor Cinema” series on Friday. Movie begins at sunset, southeast corner of Cal Anderson Park, 11th Avenue and East Pine Street, Seattle; free.

“The Lego Movie”

It opens the “Center City Cinema” series on Friday. Movie starts at dusk (canceled in case of rain), Cascade Playground, 333 Pontius Ave. N., Seattle; free.

“The Nut Job”

It plays at the “Tukwila Summer Outdoor Cinema” series on Friday. Movie at dusk, Tukwila Community Center, 12424 42nd Ave. S., Tukwila; free.

“Frozen”

It closes the “Renton Family Fun & Films” series on Friday. Movie at dusk, Henry Moses Aquatic Center, 1719 S.E. Maple Valley Highway, Renton; free.

“Hook”

It plays at the “Movies Under the Stars” series at 9 p.m. Friday. Swedish Hospital, Edmonds campus, second-floor patio, 21601 76th Ave. W., Edmonds; free.

“You’ve Got Mail”

It plays at the “Summer Movies at Waterfront Park” series on Friday. Movie starts at dusk, Brien Drive Southeast, Bainbridge Island; free.

“Despicable Me 2”

It plays at the “Summer Bash” series on Friday. Movie starts at dusk. Star Center, 3873 S. 66th St., Tacoma; free.

“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”

It closes the “Everett Cinema Under the Stars” series on Friday. Movie starts at dusk, Camp Patterson field, Thornton A. Sullivan Park, 11405 Silver Lake Road, Everett; free.

“Turbo”

It closes the “Auburn Summer Sounds and Cinema” series on Friday. Movie starts at dusk, Les Gove Park, 910 Ninth St. S.E., Auburn; free.

“Office Space” and “Ghostbusters”

They play at the “Fremont Outdoor Movies” series. “Office Space” plays on Friday, “Ghostbusters” on Saturday. Movies at dusk, Fremont Studios, 3501 Phinney Ave. N., Seattle; $5.

“The Fantastic Mr. Fox”

It’s the closing film in the “Cinema Under the Stars” series on Saturday. Movie at dusk, Columbia Park, 4721 Rainier Ave. S., Seattle.
