Sunday Best: Keira Knightley, Emma Stone dresses fly

Spotted this summer on the red carpet: two long-sleeved blue dresses with birds on them — one worn by Keira Knightley, the other by Emma Stone.

Does the appearance of two long-sleeved blue dresses with birds on them on the red carpet this summer make a trend? I’m not sure, but they’re both very pretty, so let’s go with it. Here we have Keira Knightley, left, in a romantic navy Valentino with a flock of, I don’t know, birds of paradise or something flittering across it, and Emma Stone in a Dolce & Gabbana dress with an owl — yes, an owl; her hair’s kind of obscuring it but trust me — on the bodice. (Dogged research and analysis has shown me that there’s a squirrel on her skirt, also.) Birds and all, both look whimsical and charming. Would somebody please design some cat dresses next?
