July 31 TV Picks: ‘The Quest’ on ABC
TV picks for Thursday July 31, 2014, include “The Quest” on ABC, “Project Runway” on Lifetime and “Welcome to Sweden” on NBC.
Proceed with caution, ye reality-television viewers. Although this new competition series comes from the producers of “The Lord of the Rings” franchise and “The Amazing Race,” I sense a disturbingly high cheese factor here. Twelve contestants will enter the world of Everealm (“a world of magic and malevolence”), to engage in “epic challenges” as they try to emerge as a “real-life hero.” Don’t say you haven’t been warned. 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, on ABC (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
