Movie bargains / outdoor screenings

Here are some movie bargains/outdoor screenings for the week of July 18.

Where to see discounted movies:

“The Grand Budapest Hotel” and “Godzilla 3D”

They’re new at the Crest Cinema. Also there: “Million Dollar Arm,” “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and “Rio 2” ($3-$4.50).

“The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “Neighbors” and “Godzilla”

They’re new at the Admiral Theater in West Seattle. Also there: “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” ($6).

“The Purge: Anarchy” and “A Summer’s Tale”

They’re new at the Varsity Theatre. Also there: “Venus in Fur.” All seats on Tuesday are $7.

“Begin Again”

It continues at the Big Picture Seattle. The 4 p.m. show Saturday-Sunday and the 6:15 p.m. show Monday-Thursday are $10.

“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “Repo Man”

They’re new at the Central Cinema in Seattle. All shows $6-$8.

“Under the Skin”

It plays at the Tin Theater in Burien this week. All shows $8.

“Million Dollar Arm,” “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”

They’re new at the East Valley 13 in Renton. Also there: “The Other Woman,” “Blended,” “Rio 2,” “Divergent,” “Non-Stop,” “Mr. Peabody & Sherman,” “Transcendence” and “The Lego Movie” ($3.50).

“Godzilla 3D”

It’s new at the Gateway in Federal Way.Also there: “Million Dollar Arm,” “Blended,” “The Amazing Spider-Man,” “The Other Woman,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier 3D,” “Heaven is for Real,” “Rio 2 3D” and “Divergent” ($2, all seats on Tuesdays $1).

“The Great Gatsby”

It opens the “Movies on the Green” series on Friday. Movie starts at dusk, Foster Golf Links, 13500 Interurban Ave. S., Tukwila; free.

“Father of the Bride” (1991)

It opens the “Movies Under the Stars” series at 9 p.m. Friday. Swedish Hospital, Edmonds campus, second-floor patio, 21601 76th Ave. W., Edmonds; free.

“Despicable Me 2”

It plays this week at the “Everett Cinema Under the Stars” series on Friday. Movie starts at dusk, Camp Patterson field, Thornton A. Sullivan Park, 11405 Silver Lake Road, Everett; free.

“The Life Aquatic”

It plays this week at the “Fremont Outdoor Movies” series on Saturday. Movie at dusk, Fremont Studios, 3501 Phinney Ave. N., Seattle; $5.

“The Lego Movie”

It’s the opening film in the “Cinema Under the Stars” series on Saturday. Movie at dusk, Columbia Park, 4721 Rainier Ave. S., Seattle.

“Gravity”

It’s the opening film in the “West Seattle Movies on the Wall” series on Saturday. Movie at dusk, 4410 California Ave. S.W. (courtyard by Hotwire Online Coffee House), Seattle; free.

“Back to the Future”

It plays this week at the “Redmond Summer Movie Series” on Saturday. Movie starts at dusk, Redmond City Hall, 15670 85th St., Redmond; free.

“Mr. Peabody & Sherman”

It plays this week in the “Bellevue Summer Outdoor Movies in the Park” series on Tuesday. Movie at dusk, Bellevue Downtown Park, 10201 N.E. Fourth St., Bellevue; free.

“Megamind”

It plays this week in the “Kidsummer Movie Festival.” 11 a.m. Wednesday, Ark Lodge Cinemas, 4816 Rainier Ave. S., Seattle; $3.

“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”

It plays this week in the “Movies at Marymoor Park” series on Wednesday. Movie at dusk, Marymoor Park, 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Parkway N.E., Redmond; $5 preferred seating.

“Gravity”

It plays this week in the “Outdoor Movies at Magnuson Park” series on Thursday. Movie at dusk, Magnuson Park, athletic fields, 7400 Sand Point Way N.E., Seattle; $5.

“The Hangover”

It plays this week in the “Moonlight Cinema” series on Thursday. Movie at dusk, Redhook Ale Brewery, 14300 N.E. 145th St., Woodinville; $5 (21 and over only).

“Captain America”

It plays this week in the “Movies in the Park” series on Thursday. Movie at dusk, Willis Tucker Park, 6705 Puget Park Drive, Snohomish; free.
