‘The Case Against 8’

Five years in the making, this documentary from Ben Cotner and Ryan White (“Good Ol’ Freda,” “Pelada”) looks at the historic case to overturn California’s ban on same-sex marriage. 9 p.m. Monday, June 23, on HBO (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
