Parades, cemetery memorials and music are all on tap for the Memorial Day holiday across the Puget Sound region. Here are some to choose from:

Benaroya Hall Garden of Remembrance Ceremony

Presentation of wreaths and dedication honoring three Washington residents who lost their lives in Afghanistan. 10 a.m. Monday, corner of Second Avenue and University Street, Seattle; (206-215-4800 or www.benaroyahall.org).

Veterans Heritage Museum

Displays honor local veterans, open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Everett VFW Post 2100, 2700 Oaks Ave., Everett (425-949-8821 or www.seattleveteransmuseum.org).

Trains Salute to the Military

Northwest Railway Museum pays tribute to America’s servicemen and women with a special $5 fare on train excursions for members of the military, active duty, guard, reserve, retired (with military ID) and their families. Every 90 minutes starting 11 a.m. Monday, Northwest Railway Museum, 38625 S.E. King St., Snoqualmie; regular fare $10-$18 (425-888-3030 or TrainMuseum.org ).

Evergreen Washelli

Volunteers will place 5,000 flags in veterans section, all welcome, starting at 7 a.m. Monday; commemorative service and concert at 1:30 p.m., ceremony at 2 p.m.; guided tour of Veterans Memorial Cemetery to hear about the lives of Medal of Honor recipients there, 3:15 p.m. (by reservation), Evergreen-Washelli Memorial Park, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle; $5 donation for flags requested for tour; other events free (206-362-5200 or washelli.com/events/).

Acacia Memorial Park

Gathering to honor those who gave all in service to our country, 11 a.m. Monday, Acacia Memorial Park, 14951 Bothell Way N.E., Seattle; free (206-362-5525 ).

Museum of Flight

Program honoring the military; free admission for U.S. military and veterans, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Museum of Flight, 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle; museum admission $11-$19 (206-764-5720 or www.museumofflight.org).

American Legion

Cathay Post No. 186 American Legion service to honor deceased American veterans, 4 p.m. Monday, Hing Hay Park, 409 Maynard Ave. S., Seattle (425-502-9225).

Memorial Day, Edmonds

Bring your lawn chair, refreshments served, 11 a.m. Monday, Edmonds Memorial Cemetery, 820 15th St. S.W., Edmonds; free (425-771-4741 ).

TankFest Northwest

Restored tanks, military vehicles and artillery displays, driving and firing demonstrations, Puget Sound Military Vehicle Collectors Club parade, International Plastic Modelers Society Seattle Chapter display of military-vehicle models, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Flying Heritage Collection, 3407 109th St. S.W., Everett; $10-$14 (877-342-3404 or flyingheritage.com).

Mountain View Memorial Park
