‘Black Box’

In this new medical drama, Dr. Catherine Black (Kelly Reilly) is a “world-famous neurologist” who works in a “state-of-the-art neurological center” called “The Cube.” Oh, and she happens to be bipolar. Have you had enough of the quotation marks yet? Well, despite all the talk of Van Gogh, the patients with “hallucinogenic and startling conditions” and the presence of such great actors as Terry Kinney and Vanessa Redgrave, I never made it through the “pilot episode.” 10 p.m. Thursday, May 8, on ABC (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
