‘The Mindy Project’

It’s no April Fools’ joke: after a bit of a hiatus, this adorable comedy starring Mindy Kaling as a single obstetrician is back with an hourlong “spring premiere.” The writing is clever, with a great ensemble full of very funny people (including Chris Messina, Ike Barinholtz and Adam Pally). 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, on Fox (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
