Where to see discounted movies:

“The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug 3D” and “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”

They’re new at the Crest Cinema. Also there: “”Saving Mr. Banks” and “The Great Beauty” ($3-$4.50).

“The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” and “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug”

They’re new at the Admiral Theater in West Seattle. Also there: “Saving Mr. Banks” ($5.75).

“Like Father, Like Son”

It continues new at the Varsity Theatre. Also there: “The Lego Movie,” “August: Osage County” and “Frozen.” All seats on Tuesday are $7.

“Dallas Buyers Club,” “American Hustle” and “Omar”

They’re new at the Big Picture Seattle. The 1:50 and 3:50 p.m. shows Saturday and Sunday and the 6 p.m. shows Monday-Wednesday are $9.
