Where to see discounted movies:

“The Wizard of Oz 3D” and “Don Jon”

They’re new at the Crest Cinema. Also there: “Rush,” “Blue Jasmine” and “Despicable Me 2” ($3-$4.50).

“The Counselor” and “Don Jon”

They’re new at the Admiral Theater in West Seattle Also there: “Muscle Shoals,” “Blue Jasmine” and “Despicable Me 2” ($5.75).

“Let the Fire Burn”

It’s new at the Varsity Theatre. Also there: “The Great Beauty,” “Frozen” and “Captain Phillips.” All seats on Tuesday are $7.

“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”

It continues at the Big Picture Seattle. The 2:45 p.m. shows today-Sunday and the 5:45 p.m. shows Monday-Wednesday are $9.

“The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Trading Places”

They’re new at the Central Cinema in Seattle. All shows $6-$8.

“Muscle Shoals”

It plays at the Tin Theater in Burien this week. All shows $8.

They’re new at the Gateway in Federal Way. Also there: “Runner Runner,” “Riddick,” “The Family,” “Instructions Not Included,” “Insidious: Chapter 2,” “Elysium,” “Despicable Me 2 3D,” “We’re the Millers,” “Planes,” “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters,” “Turbo” and “Monsters University”($2, all seats on Tuesdays $1).
