Where to see discounted movies:

“Blue Jasmine”

It’s new at the Crest Cinema. Also there: “Prisoners,” “Elysium,” “Despicable Me 2 3D” and “In a World ...” ($3-$4.50).

“Escape Plan” and “Blue Jasmine”

They’re new at the Admiral Theater in West Seattle Also there: “Despicable Me 2” ($5.75).

“Captain Phillips” and “The Broken Circle Breakdown”

They’re new at the Varsity Theatre. Also there: “Spinning Plates.” All seats on Tuesday are $7.

“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”

It’s new at the Big Picture Seattle. The 2:45 p.m. shows Friday-Sunday and the 5:45 p.m. shows Monday-Wednesday are $9.

“Planes, Trains & Automobiles” and “The Royal Tenenbaums”

They’re new at the Central Cinema in Seattle. All shows $6-$8.

“The To Do List”

It plays at the Tin Theater in Burien this week. All shows $8.

They’re new at the Gateway in Federal Way. Also there: “Prisoners,” “Elysium,” “Despicable Me 2 3D,” “We’re the Millers,” “Planes,” “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters 3D,” “Turbo” and “Monsters University”($2, all seats on Tuesdays $1).
