“Now You See Me” materializes onto DVD Tuesday, along with some family tales. Star ratings are by Seattle Times movie reviewers, freelancers or wire services. For full reviews, search the movie title at . Release dates are subject to change.

2.5 stars“Now You See Me” (PG-13): Appearing as a touring quartet of magicians are Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson and Dave Franco. Their specialty: big, high-tech acts — such as the one in which they seem to rob a Paris bank while in Las Vegas. Mark Ruffalo plays a suspicious FBI agent; Morgan Freeman, a magic debunker; and Michael Caine, a shady businessman sponsor.

3.5 stars“Stories We Tell” (PG-13): Sarah Polley (“Away from Her”), making her documentary directing debut, delves into her family’s past — specifically, a long-joked-about story concerning her mother, who died when Sarah was a child.

3 stars“The Iceman” (R): Michael Shannon stars as a mob hit man with a family who is clueless about his real profession.

“From Up on Poppy Hill” (PG): Goro Miyazaki, son of the Oscar-winning Hayao Miyazaki, takes the director's seat with this anime tale that centers on a high-school girl (voiced by Sarah Bolger of TV’s “The Tudors”) and her life in 1963 Yokohama, when all of Japan was gearing up for the Tokyo Olympics.
