Where to see discounted movies:

“Epic 3D” and “Mud”

They’re new at the Crest Cinema. Also there: “Frances Ha,” “The Hangover Part III,” “After Earth” and “The Croods” ($3-$4.50).

“Mud” and “Epic”

They’re new at the Admiral Theater in West Seattle. Also there: “The Hangover Part III” ($5.75).

“More Than Honey”

It’s new at the Varsity Theatre. Also there: “The Lone Ranger” and “This Is the End.” All seats on Tuesday are $7.

“The Lone Ranger”

It continues at the Big Picture Seattle. The 4 p.m. show on Sunday and the 5:45 p.m. shows Monday-Tuesday are $8.50.

“Benny & Joon” and “Boogie Nights”

They’re new at the Central Cinema in Seattle. All shows $6-$8.

“Admission”

It plays at the Tin Theater in Burien this week. All shows $8.

“Skyfall”

It's the opening film in the “Carillon Point Outdoor Movie Nights” series. Show at dusk on Saturday, Carillon Point Plaza, 4100 Carillon Point, Kirkland; $5 donation for Hopelink.

“Searching for Sugar Man”

It’s this week’s entry in the “Movie Mondays” series. Show at 8 p.m. on Monday, Triple Door, 216 Union St., Seattle; $3.

“Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days”

It’s this week’s entry in the “Bellevue Summer Outdoor Movies in the Park” series. Show at dusk on Tuesday, Bellevue Downtown Park, 10201 N.E. Fourth St., Bellevue; free, but food/clothing-item donations for various causes suggested.
