‘Warm Bodies,’ ‘Identity Thief,’ the 5th ‘Die Hard’ | New DVDs

New DVD releases for Tuesday, June 4, include the zombie romance “Warm Bodies,” the comedies “Identity Thief” and “Mental,” the fifth “Die Hard” and the animated “Escape from Planet Earth.”

3 stars“Warm Bodies” (PG-13): The forbidden love between a zombie (Nicholas Hoult) and human (Teresa Palmer) is captured in director Jonathan Levine’s adaptation of a novel by Seattle author Isaac Marion.

2.5 stars“Mental” (not rated; for mature audiences): A mad nanny (Toni Collette) stokes pride and self-respect in five neurotic sisters.

2 stars“A Good Day to Die Hard” (R): New York copper John McClane (Bruce Willis) is back, this time with a son (Jai Courtney) who’s a deep-cover CIA spy.

2 stars“Escape from Planet Earth” (PG): An animated blue-alien space hero (voiced by Brendan Fraser) goes on a mission to “The Dark Planet” — also known as Earth.

2 stars“Identity Thief” (R): A grifter (Melissa McCarthy) steals the identity of a Denver accounts rep (Jason Bateman) in this tale of two Sandys directed by Seattle native Seth Gordon.

“It’s a Disaster” (R): Brunch turns into the end of the world for eight people (Julia Stiles, David Cross and America Ferrera among them) at an L.A. home. No star rating provided.
