Where to see discounted movies:

“Quartet,” “Oz the Great and Powerful 3D” and “From Up on Poppy Hill”

They’re new at the Crest Cinema. Also there: “Identity Thief” and “Silver Linings Playbook” ($3-$4.50).

“Oz the Great and Powerful,” “Evil Dead,” “Quartet” and “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”

They’re new at the Admiral Theater in West Seattle ($5.75).

“Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s”

It’s new at the Varsity Theatre. Also there: “The Iceman” and “The Place Beyond the Pines.” All seats on Tuesday are $7.

“The Great Gatsby”

It continues at the Big Picture Seattle. The 3 p.m. show on Saturday, the 2:45 p.m. shows on Sunday-Monday and the 5:45 p.m. shows Monday-Thursday are $8.50.

“Star Trek: First Contact” and “Mean Girls”

They’re new at the Central Cinema in Seattle. All shows $6-$8.

It plays at the Tin Theater in Burien this week. All shows $8.

They’re new at the East Valley 13 in Renton. Also there: $3.50).
