‘The Impossible,’ ‘Promised Land,’ ‘Jurassic Park 3D’ | New DVDs
New DVD releases for Tuesday, April 23, include “The Impossible,” starring Naomi Watts; “Promised Land,” with Matt Damon and John Krasinski; “Any Day Now,” featuring Alan Cumming; and “Jurassic Park 3D.”

“Any Day Now” (R): Alan Cumming stars as a late-1970s drag queen who stubbornly raises an unwanted teenager with Down syndrome.
“The Central Park Five” (not rated): Documentarians Ken Burns, David McMahon and Sarah Burns trace the story of the five teens wrongly convicted of raping and beating the “Central Park Jogger.”
“Promised Land” (R): Director Gus Van Sant’s drama pits a smooth-talking salesman (Matt Damon) against an environmental activist (John Krasinski) in a fight over a small farmland town’s natural-gas rights.
“Happy People: A Year in the Taiga” (not rated): Werner Herzog’s vision of a hardscrabble life in Siberia. In English and Russian, with English subtitles.
“The Impossible” (PG-13): A British family of five, happily vacationing in Thailand, become divided when a massive tsunami wave crashes into the posh resort where they’re staying. Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor star.
“Jurassic Park 3D” (PG-13): The dinosaurs are back, still menacing 20 years later.
“Gangster Squad” (R): Josh Brolin plays an upright war-hero copper who forms an undercover squad to take down a mob boss (Sean Penn) and his operation.
“A Haunted House” (R): A parody of the “Paranormal Activity” series starring Marlon Wayans.
