Most of us just grumbled and fumed when the banks knocked over the first domino, then jetted to Washington with their palms up as the economy toppled. Not California blues man Tommy Castro, who wrote the blistering anthem, “Greedy” — “I’m greedy! I’ve got more than I need! I’m greedy! I just want more for me!” — then released it as a 45 rpm single and video with a montage of the culprits, from mortgage men to Bernie Madoff.

Castro and his gritty band of blues rockers, the Painkillers, play a one-night stand at 8 p.m. Friday at the Highway 99 Blues Club, 1414 Alaskan Way, Seattle; $20 (206-382-2171 or www.highway99blues.com).
