Thinking about cruising Puget Sound and Lake Washington in a new $3.95 million yacht? You can walk around on one and dream at the Seattle Boat Show, Friday through Feb. 3. Luxury yachts and more than 100 other new and used boats are on display, many available for boarding, at the show’s Lake Union location.

The show’s other venue is indoors, filling CenturyLink Field Event Center with exhibits of whatever fits your boating needs or budget, including kayaks, inflatables, boats and accessories. Information and seminars on boating-related topics run daily and seven boats will be given away to lucky winners, one of several show contests and giveaways. “Splash” nautical-themed aerial acrobatic performances and Aqua Paddler boats for kids are among daily show events and attractions.

The Boat Show continues through Feb. 3 with free shuttles running continuously between the locations. Slip-on shoes and/or comfortable socks are a good idea if you’d like to tour boats, since most require visitors to remove their shoes. Specials include free parking with purchase online of four or more adult tickets and free boating magazine subscriptions with online ticket orders.

If looking at all those boats gets you thinking about spring and summer (perhaps reason enough to take in the show), head to Mariner FanFest at nearby Safeco Field this Saturday and Sunday to meet players and the team’s Moose mascot, tour the clubhouse, run around the bases and daydream about sunny days and long evenings for boating and baseball.
