Community events for the weekend of Jan. 19-20, 2013, include the Model Railroad Show at the Pacific Science Center, a Doggie Nature Walk at Seward Park and the Bellevue Arts Museum Family Day.
Model Railroad Show
Displays of dozens of detailed, creative model-railroad layouts and train-related displays and activities by the Model Railroad Association fill Seattle Center Saturday through Monday, including Horse Railway rides for kids under the arches and the IMAX film “Rocky Mountain Express” transcontinental-railway adventure. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Pacific Science Center, 200 Second Ave. N., Seattle; $9-$20 (206-443-2001 or www.pacificsciencecenter.org/).
