Seattle Public Library Sunday Opening

Starting this weekend, all Seattle Public Library branches will be open 1-5 p.m. Sundays. Join in the kickoff celebration with Mayor Mike McGinn and City Librarian Marcellus Turner, children’s craft activity, snacks and information about the Check-Out Sundays Challenge, 1 p.m. Sunday at Columbia City Library, 4721 Rainier Ave. S., Seattle (206-386-1908). Seattle Home Remodeling Expo: Displays, vendors and information on everything for your home, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Sunday, Washington State Convention Center, 800 Convention Place, Seattle; $6, ages 17 and younger free (800-374-6463 or homeshowcenter.com).
