“Brave” (PG): Pixar’s latest animated feature tells the tale of a headstrong princess (voiced by Kelly Macdonald) in ancient Scotland who hopes to shake off tradition and choose her own fate.
“The Queen of Versailles” (PG): Lauren Greenfield’s documentary traces the rise and fall of a time-share billionaire and his wife, who had high hopes of building a 90,000-square-foot mansion until the 2008 recession hit.
“2 Days in New York” (R): Julie Delpy and Chris Rock, “in the midst of free-flying French chaos, find a sweet chemistry together,” says Seattle Times movie critic Moira Macdonald. The romantic comedy is a sequel to Delpy’s “2 Days in Paris.”
“Savages” (R): A Mexican drug cartel kidnaps the shared girlfriend (Blake Lively) of a couple of well-meaning Southern California pot farmers (Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Johnson) in Oliver Stone’s suspense drama. The cast also includes John Travolta, Benicio Del Toro and Salma Hayek.
“The Watch” (R): A neighborhood-watch group (Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Richard Ayoade) winds up defending their neighborhood against invading aliens.
