Art takes over downtown Bellevue at the Bellevue Arts Museum ArtsFair, Bellevue Festival of the Arts and 6th Street Fair this weekend. Meet — and shop from — hundreds of artists, along with art activities and demonstrations, entertainment and food vendors at one of the largest local festival events of the year.

Bellevue Arts Museum ArtsFair features works by 300 artists, an arts-in-action demonstration stage, kids' activities and free entrance to museum exhibits. Art installations include Towers of Delight, a woven bamboo and silk structure between Bellevue Square and Bellevue Arts Museum that fairgoers can add to with their own wrapped bamboo and silk creations. Glassblowing is featured on the demonstration stage, and local musicians and performing artists entertain all ages on the Sound & Movement Stage. Kids ages 3-12 can get creative and messy with art activities at the museum, and everyone's invited to chalk up Northeast Eighth Street next to Bellevue Arts Museum all weekend.

More arts and crafts from hundreds of artists fill Bellevue Festival of the Arts and the 6th Street Fair, also featuring live music and food vendors.

All events are within walking distance of each other and offer art, jewelry, home décor, sculpture and more for every taste and budget. Expect big crowds and, though most local parking is free, the bus is a good option.
