Take a 6-year-old, or anyone with the enthusiasm and interests of a 6-year-old, to the Touch-a-Truck event Sunday at Seattle's Magnuson Park.

Honestly, anybody who has ever grabbed a Tonka truck and gone "vroom, vroom" will likely be happy at this opportunity to explore construction trucks, hauling trucks (perhaps like the gleaming Kenworth pictured here), firetrucks and other emergency responders — maybe even a bus or two — and meet the people who build, protect and serve the Greater Seattle community.

You can also expect games, crafts, food sellers and other vendors, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Magnuson Park, 7400 Sandpoint Way N.E., off the 65th Street entrance.

Admission is free, though donations are welcomed by the event's sponsor, the Junior League of Seattle.
