Winery Tasting Tour: Seven wineries, many usually not open to the public, offer tours and tastes of wines — Amelia Wynn Winery, Eagle Harbor Wine Company, Eleven, Fletcher Bay Winery, Perennial Vintners, Rolling Bay Winery and Victor Alexander Winery, noon Saturday-Sunday, Bainbridge Island; tasting fees at some venues (www.BainbridgeWineries.com).
At the movies
"J. Edgar": This bio-drama from director Clint Eastwood stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the man who was the head of the FBI for nearly 50 years. The screenplay is from Oscar-winner (for "Milk") Dustin Lance Black. It has midnight previews Thursday, and opens at several theaters on Friday.
"Jack and Jill": Adam Sandler plays both title characters in this new holiday-set comedy that also features David Spade, Tim Meadows and Al Pacino (!). What, was Jack Nicholson busy? It also has midnight previews on Thursday and opens Friday at several theaters.
"Like Crazy": A British college student (Felicity Jones) falls for an American student (Anton Yelchin) in this drama that has won prizes at several film festivals. It opens Friday at the Guild 45th.
"The Swell Season": A documentary about musicians Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, who played fictionalized versions of themselves in the 2007 movie "Once." It opens at the SIFF Cinemas at the Film Center on Friday.
