A roundup of Hanukkah festivities around the region.
Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish Festival of Lights, begins at sundown tonight. Here is a roundup of some area festivities:
Hanukkah celebration, Bellevue: Music and singalongs with the Seattle Jewish Chorale & Shalom Ensemble, plus a menorah lighting ceremony. 7:30-10 p.m. Saturday, Crossroads Bellevue, N.E. Eighth and 156th Ave. N.E., Bellevue; free (425-644-1111 or www.crossroadsbellevue.com).
Hanukkah party: Games, singing, crafts, potluck, latkes. 5:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Secular Jewish Circle of Puget Sound, 117 E. Louisa St., Seattle; free (206-528-1944 or www.secularjewishcircle.org).
Chanukkah party: Featuring the Seventh Annual Latke-Off. 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Congregation Kol Shalom, 9010 Miller Road N.E., Bainbridge Island; free (206-842-9010 or www.kolshalom.net).
The Big Spin Hanukkah party: Carnival, proceeds benefit uncompensated care at Seattle Children's. Noon-3 p. m. Sunday, Museum of History & Industry, 2700 24th Ave. E., Seattle; $18. Pre-sale tickets are sold out; a limited number of tickets will be available at the door (www.thebigspin.org).
