Artist Andrew Morrison was at odds with Seattle Public Schools about preserving his iconic murals of Chief Joseph and Chief Sealth at the Wilson-Pacific School in North Seattle, but he's come to a truce with Superintendent Jose Banda, and the murals will be preserved.

Artist reaches accord with schools on Native murals
Artist Andrew Morrison, in a compromise offer now will help preserve the murals of Native Americans that he created at Seattle’s Wilson-Pacific campus, where all the buildings are slated to be torn down to make way for two new schools.
