Here is the Times editorial board recommendations for the August 17 election.
The Seattle Times editorial board offers its recommendations for the 2010 elections. The board is interviewing candidates in selected races for Congress, the state Legislature, the state Supreme Court as well as proponents and opponents of proposed state initiatives.
July 14— 26th Legislative District
The Times recommends voters re-elect state Sen. Derek Kilmer in the 26th Legislative District
July 15— 30th Legislative District
The Times recommends voters elect Republican Katrina Asay to the state House of Representatives
July 20— 41st Legislative District
The Times recommends voters re-elect District 41 Democrat Judy Clibborn to the state House of Representatives
July 22— Initiative 1053
Initiative 1053 would require supermajority to raise taxes -- once more with feeling
July 23— 34th Legislative Distric
The Times endorses Democrat Mike Heavey in the 34th Legislative District
July 25— 3rd Congressional District
Denny Heck and David Castillo the primary picks in the 3rd Congressional District
