Trade Works and Washington benefits
The U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement will be a year old in March, and the benefits are already apparent here in Washington and across the country.
A reminder of the bilateral gains from that agreement is provided in a new publication, Trade Works, produced by U.S. Korea Connect Team. The booklet profiles 64 businesses, including four in Washington, and presents lots of detail about Washington’s trade ties.
In opening comments, Y.J. Choi, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the United States, notes the World Bank ranks Korea eighth in the world for ease of doing business, and second for contract enforcement.
Trade Works features Allied Potato Northwest, in Pasco; Anderson Hay & Grain Co., Inc.; Andrew Hill Winery, Yakima; and Sharpe Mixers, Seattle. The message is that opportunities abound and others are encouraged to explore the possibilities.
