Rewind: Live chat on legalizing marijuana in Washington

On Thursday, we hosted a live chat on Initiative 502, the measure on the November ballot that proposes decriminalizing marijuana.

I moderated the hour-long discussion with a panel that featured perspectives from different sides of this contentious issue, including:

Bruce Ramsey, Seattle Times editorial writer
Anthony Martinelli, Sensible Washington (for legalizing marijuana, against I-502)
Steve Freng, Northwest High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (against legalization, I-502)
Pete Holmes, Seattle City Attorney (for legalizing marijuana, supports I-502)

In case you missed it, our board first endorsed the legalization of marijuana in June 2011. We reiterated our support for I-502 in the Sunday edition of The Seattle Times.
