Poll: Should Hwy 520 tolling be suspended while I-90 is closed for the Blue Angels?

Happy Seafair weekend! Not so happy are the commuters who cross Lake Washington. Thursday through Sunday I-90 will be closed for 2+ hours so the Blue Angels can fly over in practices and performance shows. The Federal Aviation Administration requires Washington state Department of Transporation close I-90 for the safety of drivers and the Blue Angels pilots.

Drivers can time their lake crossing before or after the closure. Or they can circle around the lake via 405 or choose alternate routes such as State Rt. 522. The rest of us will head to Highway 520 where we'll have to pay a toll. Toll rates vary depending on the time of day, but commuters can expect to pay at the low end, $2.31 if they have a Good to Go Pass. I do not have one. Should I hop onto 520, I'll be paying between $3 and $4.
