Amazon's welcome help in celebrating Seattle's Family Fourth at Lake Union

Amazon, that behemoth online retailer rooted in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood, is joining those businesses who sponsor the Family Fourth at Lake Union, which has been in jeopardy of disappearing in recent years..

This is welcome news for the community, because Amazon has not had much a reputation as a stalwart corporate citizen here in Seattle.

This is a move in the right direction for Amazon to join the other businesses that are putting on the fireworks show.

Enjoy the show. And don't forget to show your gratitude if you're able by participating in the Third Annual 5th of July Lake Union Cleanup, sponsored for the 5th year in a row by Starbucks.
