DISCUSS the governor's race: Rob McKenna and Jay Inslee in first debate today
What questions would you pose to the two front-running gubernatorial candidates, who square off today in a televised debate?
The Seattle Times editorial board's endorsement interview with the two candidates isn't until June 26, but we will be watching today's debate as part of our vetting of the two candidates. Would love to have your suggested questions in the comments below.
The Times' editorial board has endorsed both men in the past -- McKenna for his current attorney general post and Jay Inslee for the 1st Congressional District seat he resigned from earlier this year to run for govenor.
Today's televised debate from Spokane will be a good chance to see them in action. Watch it live on your TVW station (Channel 23) or live-streamed at TVW or catch up on a later broadcast or through TVW's archive.
The debate, sponsored by the Association of Washington Business, begins at 3:30 p.m.
Meantime, you can brush up on the issues. The Times has run some articles comparing the two men and their policy positions on a number of issues, including education, unions, and social issues.
