Discuss: How will you honor those who died in Seattle's shootings?
It's been just over a week since Seattle shootings left five dead, the latest deaths in a long string of gun violence spanning several weeks. How are you coping?
Have you forgotten and returned to your normal routine? Did it inspire small changes in your life?
Andrew J. Swanson, a musician who was friends with people who died at Cafe Racer and was acquainted with Ian Stawicki, wrote a guest column in today's paper about how to move forward. He says the best way to honor the cafe's funky group of artists is to engage with the arts community in Seattle. And "develop your talents, be they coding or calligraphy," he says. That's what is friend Drew Keriakedes would have done, had he lived.
Make sure you check Sunday's Times and our site for a lyrical op-ed on the shootings from Prometheus Brown, a member of Seattle hip-hop act Blue Scholars. We'll post the video here too.
