Washington State (2-1, 0-0 Pac-12); Colorado (1-3, 0-0). Time: 12:40 p.m. at Folsom Field

TV: Fox College Sports Pacific (Comcast 415), DirecTV Ch. 617. Radio: KTTH (770). The line: Colorado by 3.

The setup: Pac-12 opener for both schools, coached by graduates of their programs, WSU's Paul Wulff and Colorado's Jon Embree. WSU, coming off a bye, is playing the second of three straight road games. Signs point to both teams trying to run the ball more. Colorado has allowed 10 sacks, second-most in the Pac-12, hasn't had a running back score a rushing touchdown in 21 quarters dating to 2010, and called only 15 runs in a 37-17 loss last week at Ohio State. WSU needs to run better to protect QB Marshall Lobbestael, who was sacked six times at San Diego State.

Injuries: WSU — QB Jeff Tuel (clavicle) is out; C Andrew Roxas (ankle) is probable. Colorado — CB Parker Orms (leg) and CB Travis Sandersfeld (leg) is out; C Daniel Munyer (ankle) and TB Rodney Stewart (shoulder) is probable.

Upset brewing? It's a near tossup, so any result wouldn't be surprising. But if Cougars are to win, they need to finish strongly, something they've been emphasizing in practice.

Prediction: Colorado 33, WSU 24.
