PULLMAN — The NCAA has ruled Washington State cornerback Aire Justin ineligible for the 2011 season for violating the NCAA's banned substance policy.

Under the NCAA's program, failure to comply with the policy results in being withheld from competition in all sports for a minimum of 365 days. Justin, a redshirt senior, does not have eligibility after the 2011 season and thus his collegiate career is over.

"Aire made a big mistake by not following the guidelines our athletic department has in place," said WSU coach Paul Wulff. "This is not the way we want our team to operate."

Justin started occasionally the past two years and had two interceptions last season. Injuries, including a concussion, limited him to seven games last year.
