Two Washington State basketball players suspended
Danny Lawhorn and Jordan Railey were suspended for violation of team rules.
Two Washington State men’s basketball players have been suspended for violations of team rules.
Coach Ken Bone announced the suspension of Danny Lawhorn last week and the suspension of Jordan Railey on Tuesday.
Lawhorn is a junior guard and Railey is a junior center.
Details on what team rules they violated were not immediately available.
Bone said no timetable has been set for the return of either player.

• Brian Williams scored all three goals as the Tri-City Americans shut out the Seattle Thunderbirds 3-0 in Kennewick.
Eric Comrie made 30 saves for the Americans.
• Gonzaga University’s women’s golf team, led by a third-place finish from freshman Ciera Min, placed second in the Rose City Collegiate at Langdon Farms Golf Club in Aurora, Ore. Oregon State won with a 586 as the Beavers put up back-to-back rounds of 293. The Bulldogs shot 600. Washington State was sixth at 613 and Seattle University finished 13th at 59-over 635.
Anica Yoo of Oregon State earned medalist honors by one stroke with a two-round score of 2-under 142. Min finished in a three-way tie for third at 146.
• Kyle Schrader shot a 1-over par 73 to pace Western Washington’s men’s golf team to a 12th-place finish in the Golfweek Fall Invitational at Sunriver (Ore.) Crosswater Golf Club.
No. 6 Cal State Monterey Bay won the 54-hole event by 20 strokes at 893. WWU shot a final-round 316 for a 950 total.
• A second-half goal by Northwest University’s Josh Guerrero lifted the Eagles (6-3, 4-1 CCC) to a 2-1 Cascade Conference men’s soccer win over Warner Pacific.
