Oregon beats rival Oregon State in Pac-12 | College basketball

CORVALLIS, Ore. — Damyean Dotson scored 21 points and Oregon used a 9-0 second-half run to hold off rival Oregon State 79-66 Sunday night in the Pac-12 opener for both teams.

E.J. Singler added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Ducks (12-2).

Ahmad Starks scored 22 points and Roberto Nelson had 18 for Oregon State (10-4).

The Beavers took a 47-46 lead on Starks' two free throws with 11:02 remaining before Oregon responded with its 9-0 burst.

Arizona State

beats Colorado

TEMPE, Ariz. — Carrick Felix scored 20 points, Jordan Bachynski had 16 points and nine blocked shots and Arizona State pulled away from cold-shooting Colorado down the stretch to beat the Buffaloes 65-56.

Jonathan Gilling added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Sun Devils (13-2 overall, 2-0 Pac-12), who started their conference season 2-0 for the first time in five years.

Spencer Dinwiddie led Colorado (10-4, 0-2) with 19 points. Askia Booker added 13 points.
