Washington State women lose at Syracuse | College basketball
Kayla Alexander scored 18 points to lead Syracuse to a 64-51 victory over the Washington State women. WSU dropped to 3-7.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Kayla Alexander scored 18 points to lead Syracuse to a 64-51 victory over Washington State on Friday.
Freshman Lia Galdeira led the Cougars (3-7) with 16 points and Tia Presley, a graduate of Gonzaga Prep in Spokane, added 14.
WSU was limited to 32 percent shooting (19 of 60), including 15 percent (3 of 20) on three-point tries.
Attendance was 371; the Carrier Dome seats 34,616.
Syracuse (11-1) has won 52 consecutive home nonconference games.
